Sarah Palin joining SNL as Tina Fey Impersonator
Sarah Palin is getting ready to turn the tables on Tina Fey.
Dateline Hollywood has learned that the Alaska governor and Republican vice presidential candidate will appear on "Saturday Night Live" next week in a skit where she will impersonate "30 Rock" star and former "SNL" head writer Fey.
"We wanted to do something making fun of Tina's American Express ads and we were trying to figure out who could do a good impression of her," said a source at the show. "Then we realized, 'Hey, that Sarah Palin lady looks exactly like her.' And she was hilarious in her interview with Katie Couric, so we know she's got great comedy chops."
Palin is said to be considering joining the "SNL" cast full-time if her White House bid fails in November. "Sarah feels she's just as qualified to be a comedic actress as she is to be vice-president, so it's a very exciting opportunity," said a Palin advisor.

Celebrities sue politicians for taking away spotlight
A group of celebrities is suing Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama and Republican Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin for taking a significant amount of attention away from them. Obama and Palin have been turning up on the covers of Hollywood star magazines such as People, OK! and The National Enquirer. The celebrities filed the lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court seeking an unspecified amount of money for the damage suffered over the last few weeks.

"I was caught on camera holding hands again with Samantha Ronson further speculating lesbian rumors, but I did not get the cover."
"I was caught with crystal meth, and no cover for me either," said Ryan O'Neal. "I mean, what do I have to do to get on the cover? Kill a tranny hooker? I don't know any trannies, but hypothetically, if I did, is that what I would have to do?"
"It's bad enough they get all of the attention on 'Meet the Press,' do they have take away our covers of OK magazine? I mean, just because Sarah Palin's daughter is pregnant and still a teenager and unmarried, doesn't mean she should get all of the attention," said Jamie Lynn Spears.

Amy Poehler Leaving "Saturday Night Live"
Aww, man! I'm gonna miss her on "Weekend Update."
No joke: Amy Poehler's leaving Saturday Night Live.
According to the Los Angeles Times, she tells the new issue of Men's Vogue that she is taking a break after the November election as she prepares to welcome her first child. And she won't be returning after maternity leave.
"It's gonna be really hard Boyz II Men hard to say goodbye to yesterday," she says. "SNL was dangerous, late-night, last-minute and star-studded, but like any good drug, you need to know when to put it down."
Poehler won't be off the small screen altogether. She has signed on for NBC's upcoming Office spin-off, set to air next year.
"I can kind of confirm that I will be working in some capacity on that show," she said in July. "I don't really have any other details yet."
Next up: The Emmys. She is nominated for Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series for SNL.She generated laughs this past weekend, portraying Hillary Clinton in a sketch with Tina Fey, who played Sarah Palin. (From OMG! Yahoo/UsMagazine)

Larry King interviews reflection
In the latest sign that his television career may be coming to an abrupt end, CNN's Larry King spent the entire hour last night interviewing his reflection on his brand new desk. Larry even opened up the phone lines to take calls from viewers with questions for Larry King's reflection. Two producers at "Larry King Live" tell Dateline Hollywood that they had argued with executive producers against bringing in a new desk.
"We just knew that the new desk with the shiny surface would completely distract Larry," says one of the CNN producers. "We knew it would be a disaster. It's so important to keep shiny things away from him. We didn't expect that he would take an entire hour to focus on his own reflection. He had some good questions, though."
Most of the interview was a frustrating experience for Larry King. Here's an example of how the night went for Larry.
Larry King: "Sarah Palin is John Mccain's running mate. What do you make of her?"
Larry King's Reflection: (simultaneously) "Sarah Palin is John Mccain's running mate. What do you make of her?"
Larry King: "Yes, that's what I'm asking."
Larry King's Reflection: (simultaneously) "Yes, that's what I'm asking."
Larry King: "Stop that."

Sarah Palin actually character created by Tina Fey, SNL
Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Senator John McCain on Wednesday admitted that his vice presidential running mate Sarah Palin is actually Tina Fey, who joined the campaign as part of a stunt orchestrated by the "30 Rock" star's old co-workers at "Saturday Night Live."
"This Sarah Palin character is so obviously Tina with a bad beehive hairdo that I can't believe we managed to keep up the prank for an entire week," McCain said on Wednesday after Fey's Palin wig fell off during a press conference. "I didn't believe the 'Saturday Night Live' writers when they told me I could convince the media that I would pick a running mate who's obviously grossly unqualified, that I could pretend she's ready to be commander-in-chief because Alaska is near Russia, that I wouldn't mind she's in the middle of a corruption scandal, or that I didn't do the basic vetting to find out that her 17 year-old daughter was pregnant. I'm just sorry we didn't get to have Tina arrive on stage for her acceptance speech tonight by riding a snowmobile with a dead moose she killed herself strapped to the back like we had planned."
"SNL" writers and McCain's campaign staff said it was relatively easy to convince journalists that the fictional Palin is actually governor of Alaska by setting up a fake website and convincing the few Alaskans known to the national media to play along. "Actually, the governor of Alaska is a guy, Fred or Frank or something like that," said McCain campaign chairman Rick Davis.
McCain said he will announce his real vice presidential running mate, a boring but at least marginally qualified white male, later this afternoon.
