Ray J Sings at Charity Event Benefiting Homeless
I'm only posting because it's in NY and it's for a great cause. Ray J sucks, but if you're in the area you should come out and support.
R&B singer Ray J will be lending his Hollywood star in an effort to combat homelessness in New York City. The actor/singer is set to hit the stage at the second Harmony4Kidz’ “Artists Who Care” benefit concert on September 21st at N.Y.'s Highline Ballroom.
The event, which cost online and at the door, will be hosted by Power 105.1’s DJ Whutevva and along with Ray J will also feature performances from international artists Irena and Bermuda Road, Badi, Bellringer, Raye 6 and Shakti.
Ticket sales from the show will go towards helping homeless youth find immediate shelter.
In related Ray J news the crooner’s hit single “Sexy Can I” with Yung Berg, off his latest release, All I Feel, has been certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). (From Sohh.com)

Scary Spice Mel B: Comes to New York Fashion Week Spring 2009
Scary Spice Mel B, 33, is to come at New York style Week Spring 2009 presenting Ultimo underwear.
Melanie Brown signed up as the new face and body of the lingerie brand Ultimo in April 2008. She will show their new line along with designers Philip Lim, DKNY, Diesel Black Gold, Herve Leger, Betsey Johnson, Ralph Lauren and Rock & Republic next Tuesday.
Michelle Mone created Ultimo, that is the very first British lingerie model house to show theirs collection at New York style Week, and Michelle is one of the few Scottish designers to have their linen grace its catwalks.
Mel B said:
I am thrilled to be representing Ultimo at New York style Week. I’m so passionate about Ultimo’s designs and I can’t wait for the crowd’s reaction to what Michelle and the team will be sending down the runway.”
Michelle said:
I could not believe it when I received the phone call from New York; I honestly thought it was a wind up! You don’t get much bigger than New York style Week.
"To be showing in one of the most prominent style cities in the world, alongside such well-established designers, is just phenomenal. It will be a huge honour and a fantastic opportunity for us to shine under the international spotlight, and to establish Ultimo on a global level. Rachel Bilson In Page Six Magazine
Page Six Magazine has a special style Issue out this week and gracing the cover is sexy actress Rachel Bilson.
In her interview with the mag she reveals her love for Coco Chanel and Hayden Christensen - and how she’s making it easy for copycats to steal her look in her new role as a designer.
The 27-year-old former star of The O.C. is recognized for her eclectic sense of style, which has also landed her in the crosshairs of the style police:
“I think it’s cool to be on the worst-dressed list. If people aren’t accepting, that’s OK. Bring it on, I don’t care!”
Her passion for style had led her to unveil a new clothing line, Edie Rose (named after her late grandmother), debuting on DKNY Jeans.
She admits she can’t sew, and says she:
“came with some pictures, a couple pieces of my own clothes and some ideas in my head. It’s simple with one pop of color, which is like me.”
Rachel credits her style to her mother, Janice, a spiritual adviser, adding:
”Vintage is her love, she has a great eye, which I think I’ve inherited from her.”
Up next for Rachel is an abstract film collection of New York City stories due out next February titled New York, I Love You, in which she co-stars with current boyfriend Hayden Christensen.
“I’m happy and that’s all that matters. I have someone really great. Someone who can make me laugh-that’s always what comes first. It’s the best to be able to really, like, truly laugh with someone like they’re your best friend, you know?”
As far as her ex-costar/ex-boyfriend Adam Brody?
“They say don’t date your co-star, but that’s who you’re around. If you’re in an office, and you see someone everyday and you click well, you’ll start dating. It’s the same thing.”

Home in which The Dark Knight star died available for $26,000 a month
Estate agents have been accused of cashing in on Heath Ledger’s tragic death by hiking up the price of his New York apartment.
The Dark Knight star died in the rented Soho flat after taking an accidental overdose of prescription drugs.
The three-bedroom home is being advertised for ,000 (£13,000) a month – said to be ,000 more than its previous price.
‘You don't wait around in a hot rental market like this,’ an estate agent tells the New York Post.
‘As ghoulish as it sounds, people will rent that place in a heartbeat.’
Heath, who was 28 when he died, left behind a daughter Matilda, 3 next month

Mackenzie Phillips, Aaron Sorkin, Dennis Farina endorse new Drugs N Guns Airlines
Mackenzie Phillips' arrest today at Los Angeles Airport for trying to smuggle cocaine and heroin onto an airplane could turn out to be quite the lucrative gig!
Dateline Hollywood has learned that the One Day at a Time star has been recruited by fellow airport arrestees Aaron Sorkin and Dennis Farina to invest in and endorse a new venture called Drugs N Guns Airlines.
The air carrier has obtained a special waiver from the Federal Aviation Administration to let passengers carry any controlled narcotic or firearm on the plane. Drugs N Guns Airlines will be marketed primarily to current and former entertainment industry professionals and will fly exclusively between Los Angeles, New York, and Vancouver. Tickets will cost at least ,000 per flight and passengers have to sign an extensive release form before boarding.
"Those of us currently in or recently washed out from the entertainment industry have a unique need to snort or inject drugs and carry weapons with us wherever we go, especially on long cross-country plane rides," Phillips, Farina and Sorkin said in a joint statement. "Guns N Drugs Airlines has been specifically designed to fit the needs of people like us. Our motto is simple: 'Shoot and snort away. We're all celebs here.'"

WENDY WILLIAMS GOES NATIONAL
Blackvoices.com has learned that ‘The Wendy Williams Show’ has been picked up for a full run next year, after a successful six-week preview that brought to television the larger than life radio shock jock to viewers across the country in the New York, Los Angeles, Dallas and Detroit markets since July 14!
The Fox Television Stations group will officially launch the show for a mid-2009 start, a rep confirmed today. Through Aug. 13, the program had posted rating increases in key demographics versus the May sweeps, including every key demo in New York and Los Angeles
