Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz Split Because of His Constant Touring, Source Says
мека мебеликониAshlee Simpson filed divorce papers to end her marriage to Pete Wentz this week in a move that caught even cynical gossip readers by surprise.
The split is being called amicable, but it was her call, sources say, and due in large part to a series of arguments over Pete Wentz’s music career.
His commitment to touring with his band had been a sticking point between the two for some time now and finally led to Ashley filing for divorce.

The 26-year-old former singer was “fed up” with her husband being away from home for extended periods of time and wanted him to focus on being a dad.
“Ashlee and Pete would argue constantly about him touring,” a source told Radar. “Since she gave birth to Bronx she hated him being away from home."
"She wanted him to stop the band life and work more on producing music, so he could be around to concentrate more on being a husband and plumpher."
“She hated him being away and said she felt like a single mother."
“When Fall Out Boy went on hiatus things were great and it was just like old times, but Pete formed his new band and then he was off touring again."
“I think that Ash just finally had enough. She put all her musical aspirations to the side to concentrate on being a mom and it is a big bone of contention with her that Pete just swans off around the world with his buddies like he’s a single guy."
“They had a super big deal fight in October before he headed off to Europe, but then tried to make a go of things over the holidays for the sake of Bronx."
“They decided to take a break to both cool off and reassess, and both realized it was bad for Bronx to be around parents fighting all the time."
“Pete is due to head off again on tour in a couple of months and I honestly think Ashlee filed for divorce as a way to shock him into canceling his plans, or at least modifying them and giving in to her demands to be with her and Bronx."
“It’s not going to work though, Pete’s not going to play that game."
“It’s a really sad situation because they do genuinely love each other, and I would pretty much swear that neither of them is seeing someone else – but they just want totally different things in life and neither one is willing to compromise.”
Well, there's your un-sourced, anonymous but realistic-sounding update.

Video: Obama Gives Tough Speech at NAACP Anniversary Celebration
Stirring. Honest.Controversial.Bold. But what do you think of the speech? Do you agree with President Obama's view on responsibility? Do you think his words were too harsh?
President Barack Obama had a tough-love message for fellow African-Americans on Thursday, urging black parents to push their children to think beyond dreams of being sports stars or rap music performers.
Obama's election as the first African-American president buoyed the black community. At the 100th anniversary celebration of the NAACP, the country's oldest civil rights group, he urged blacks to take greater responsibility for themselves and move away from reliance on government programs.
"We need a new mindset, a new set of attitudes -- because one of the most durable and destructive legacies of discrimination is the way that we have internalized a sense of limitation; how so many in our community have come to expect so little of ourselves," he said.Obama told a packed ballroom at a Manhattan hotel that blacks need to recapture the spirit of the civil rights movement of a half century ago to tackle problems that have struck African-Americans disproportionately - joblessness, spiraling healthcare costs and HIV-AIDS.
"What is required to overcome today's barriers is the same as was needed then...the same commitment. The same sense of urgency. The same sense of sacrifice," he said.Obama said parents need to force their children to set aside the video games and get to bed at a reasonable hour, and push them to set their sights beyond such iconic figures as NBA star LeBron James and rap performer Lil Wayne.
евтини мебелиmach zehnder modulator"Education is the path to a better future", said Obama. "Our kids can't all aspire to be the next LeBron or Lil Wayne. I want them aspiring to be scientists and engineers, doctors and teachers, not just ballers and rappers. I want them aspiring to be a Supreme Court justice. I want them aspiring to be president of the United States," he said. (From Yahoo News/MSNBC)Tags: barack, love, music, obama, parents, rap, sports, style

XXL Editor Steps Down
It's hard not to notice the trend here. Could this be the end of music magazines?
XXL Magazine Editor-In-Chief Datwon Thomas has reportedly left his position at the publication after just over a year. While details are in short supply, the news of Thomas' departure hit the net earlier today (May 12).
Word on the curb is that Datwon Thomas has stepped down from his position as Editor-In-Chief of XXL and Executive Editor, Vanessa Satten will resume duties at the top of the masthead. No reason as to why Datwon allegedly left his post, but we'll have more as this story develops. (Rap Radar)
Thomas took over the magazine in March 2008.
"I won't take the job lightly," he said in a statement last year. "The game is in a tough spot. Lagging sales, declining buzz, warring factions, creative slump and various other factors make the details of my job tougher than expected. I'm here though, ready to grip up and bust some for a culture that's slipping into uncharted territory that looks a little grim. The fact that a lot of good hip-hop is still out there helps make my job that much easier. I, with your help, will find that hip-hop and give it the platform that it rightly deserves. Wish me luck, I'm going in." (Pro Hip Hop)Prior to XXL, Thomas helped launch King Magazine and helped build it into a prominent urban publication. (Compiled by Sohh.com)
