‘Twilight’ stars not returning for sequel
First came the devastating news that director Catherine Hardwicke is not returning for the "Twilight" sequel "New Moon." Now we've just learned that NONE of the actors from "Twilight" will be in the sequel. It's the bombshell no one expected. Robert Pattinson will no longer play Edward Cullen.
"The truth is that our post-film research showed that girls did not find Robert as attractive as first thought," said a studio insider. We couldn't agree more. Pattison has that Michael Phelps short yellow school bus look.
Pattison will be replaced with comic actor Gilbert Gottfried who can bring his own comic stylings to the role.
"He has an attractive quality the teenage girls will love, and he's funny. Girls love funny guys," added the studio insider.
Kristin Stewart will be replaced as "Bella Swan" with actress Nikki Blonsky. Excellent choice by selecting someone who is representative of young girls in America!

Journalism schools alter curriculum after Anderson Cooper takes off shirt on ‘60 Minutes’
Last night on "60 Minutes," broadcast journalist Anderson Cooper interviewed Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps. The CNN anchor decided to take off his shirt and pants to race Phelps in the pool.
"Anderson Cooper is at the forefront of broadcast journalism in this country. Last night, we saw Anderson take broadcast journalism in an exciting new direction," says Professor Ryan F. Louter of Syracuse University. "We're now going to alter our curriculum to include taking off one's shirt to be part of a reporter's tools during interviews. It is an effective method while interviewing a public figure. We're glad that Anderson decided to do that on '60 Minutes," a program that offers many hard-hitting investigative reports."
Already, a number of Broadcast Journalism students are already getting gym memberships.
"I'm interviewing Joe Lieberman next month for a piece about Independents, and I want to make sure my pecs are looking good when I take off my shirt," says 19 year old Chad Bilix of Webster University.
Cooper's shirt removal wasn't the first time a '60 Minutes' correspondent bared his chest. In 2005, Andy Rooney took off shirt in a piece about annoying nipple hair.

Phelps: Paparazzi should leave me alone at Playboy Club, Video Music Awards
Why won't the paparazzi leave Michael Phelps alone?? The Olympic champion tells Dateline Hollywood that since returning from Beijing, he's been trying to avoid the press by unwinding at some of his favorite low key hang outs, but has been deluged with photographers and even amateurs using cell phone cameras.
"There was so much media around me at the Olympics that I've just wanted to get a little personal time at places like the Playboy Club in Las Vegas and the MTV Video Music Awards in Hollywood," he explained. "How do the paparazzi even find me there? How am I supposed to get any privacy?!"
Phelps said he was particularly offended that someone at the Playboy Club in the Palms Casino took cell phone pictures of him talking to a young waitress who wanted his autograph. In order to shield her from the unwanted attention, the 13-time gold medalist added, he attempted to use his hand to block her ass from the camera. The photo, seen at left, was still leaked to the website Radar.
In the next few weeks, Phelps added, he hopes the paparazzi and amateur photogs will not be bothering him during visits to a beach in Malibu and several clothing stores he has heard about on Robertson Avenue in Beverly Hills.

Michael Phelps joins the Jonas Brothers
Searching for a way to continue keep his Hollywood star from waning now that the Olympics Games have ended, Michael Phelps on Tuesday announced that he is joining the Jonas Brothers.
Phelps, who will be known as as Mike Jonas, is now the oldest Jonas. Insiders say that could help Kevin Jonas, who at 20 was previously the oldest, regain more boyish appeal with the groups' younger fans, while also keeping Phelps in the spotlight.
"Let's be honest, nobody really gives a sh*t about swimming except for two weeks every four years," said Joe Simpson, who recently become Phelps' manager. "Now that he's a Jonas Brother, Americans will actually know who Mike is and pay attention to him for the next three years and 50 weeks."
Mike Jonas is expected to become the roguish prankster of the group, with a humorous but slightly more mature sensibility that Walt Disney Company executives hope could broaden the brothers' appeal from girls aged 8-12 to girls aged 8-15. It is still being determined what instrument he will pretend to play and who will do voice overs when he sings.
