Mackenzie Phillips, Aaron Sorkin, Dennis Farina endorse new Drugs N Guns Airlines
Mackenzie Phillips' arrest today at Los Angeles Airport for trying to smuggle cocaine and heroin onto an airplane could turn out to be quite the lucrative gig!
Dateline Hollywood has learned that the One Day at a Time star has been recruited by fellow airport arrestees Aaron Sorkin and Dennis Farina to invest in and endorse a new venture called Drugs N Guns Airlines.
The air carrier has obtained a special waiver from the Federal Aviation Administration to let passengers carry any controlled narcotic or firearm on the plane. Drugs N Guns Airlines will be marketed primarily to current and former entertainment industry professionals and will fly exclusively between Los Angeles, New York, and Vancouver. Tickets will cost at least ,000 per flight and passengers have to sign an extensive release form before boarding.
"Those of us currently in or recently washed out from the entertainment industry have a unique need to snort or inject drugs and carry weapons with us wherever we go, especially on long cross-country plane rides," Phillips, Farina and Sorkin said in a joint statement. "Guns N Drugs Airlines has been specifically designed to fit the needs of people like us. Our motto is simple: 'Shoot and snort away. We're all celebs here.'"

Solange Knowles: People think I am on drugs

Solange Knowles claims people always think she is "high".
The singer - the younger sister of former Destiny's Child singer Beyonce - says her energy levels and sporadic speech patterns make people think she is on drugs.
She said: "People think I'm high even when I'm sober."
Solange also said she sometimes tells people silly lies to try to make them laugh.
She added: "I tell lies. Not proper lies, just little lies. I started telling them - jokes I should call them - when I was very young.
"I've always had a sense of humour but people haven't always shared it."
Solange recently revealed she has been diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), but refused to accept what she was told by her first doctor so went for a second opinion.
She said: "I was diagnosed with ADD twice. I didn't believe the first doctor who told me and I had a whole theory that ADD was just something they invented to make you pay for medicine but then the second doctor told me I had it.
"I guess I was in denial. I don't understand exactly what it is. The symptoms seem to apply to everyone around me in the industry - loss of memory, starting something and not finishing it."

Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell, Jude Law donates money to Heath Ledger’s daughter
Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law have donated their earnings from new movie 'The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus' to Heath Ledger's daughter Matilda.
The actors - who replaced Heath following his death from an accidental prescription drugs overdose in January - wanted to give their money to Heath's two-year-old child with actress Michelle Williams to ensure she has a secure future.
The movie's director Terry Gilliam said: "The three actors were totally heroic coming in. This doesn't happen very often - where there's a tragedy like this, and very famous, very successful actors suddenly say, 'OK, we'll do whatever it takes to help.'
"They came, they did the work, they allowed the movie to be finished, they didn't take money - the money goes to Heath's daughter. That's extraordinary!
"I am so glad these guys are so humble. That's why they make a great addition to the film. It will be bittersweet seeing this movie knowing he was filming it only days before he died. This picture still hurts to see because as we all know he did die a couple of days after this picture was taken. My thoughts will always be with Heath."
Johnny, Colin and Jude will all play Heath's character Tony as he is transported into three separate dimensions, which he accesses via a paranormal mirror belonging to a travelling theatre troupe.

Quote Of The Day
“I had an improv class in high school and I came stoned one time. I was so paranoid that I never tried to fuck with it again.
“I marvel at some people’s ability to party and then act. I’m not built that way.”
~ Jack Black on staying sober while working on his movie sets because he’s too ‘paranoid’ to mix drugs or alcohol with work.

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center to be turned into celebrity jail
Following the DUI arrest of Shia LaBeouf in Hollywood over the weekend and the treatment of the actor at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, hospital administrators have given the green light to transform the medical facility into a jail. LaBeouf underwent surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for an injured hand. Cedars-Sinai reports that it has been inundated with drunk and injured celebrities and it made sense to simply turn the hospital into a jail. Administrators have been working with the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department for a year now to make the transition. Cedars-Sinai released the following statement:
"The bottom line is that 87 % percent of the people that are admitted into the hospital are celebrities who are either injured from a drunk driving accident or have overdosed on illegal drugs. Either way, they need to be in police custody."
In another development, the city of Malibu is considering turning the beach side community into a Hollywood star detention camp. The city council takes up the issue on August 12th.
