Meg Ryan, Jada Pinkett Smith, Debra Messing at ‘The Women Premiere’

Their latest flick is called The Women, so it was fitting that the movie's premiere should be a girly affair. Screen sirens Meg Ryan, Jada Pinkett Smith and Debra Messing teamed up with the rest of the all-female cast for a ladies' night to fete the sassy comedy drama on Thursday.
The new movie is a remake of the 1939 film of the same name, and focuses on a wealthy New Yorker - played by Meg - who leaves her unfaithful husband and strikes up friendships with other society women.
American Beauty actress Annette Bening was on hand for the red carpet event too, as were Sex And The City star Candice Bergen, model Eva Mendes and veteran entertainer Bette Midler.
It wasn't an exclusively girls-only do, though. Men In Black actor Will Smith turned out to support wife Jada, while Warren Beatty also played the role of supportive husband to wife of 16 years Annette.

Keira Knightley attended ‘The Duchess Premiere’

Although The Duchess premiere was attended by a host of British celebs, including Tara Palmer-Tomkinson and Narnia actress Anna Popplewell, the true star of Wednesday night's London screening was the period drama's leading lady. Keira Knightley dazzled in a flirty Alexis Mabille number as she caught up with her co-star Ralph Fiennes at the star-studded event.
And the English Patient actor wasn't the only hunk Keira was mingling with at the do. The evening marked a rare couples' outing for the screen siren and her actor beau Rupert Friend, too. Fresh from a holiday in Indonesia, the pair - whose romance blossomed after they met on the set of Pride And Prejudice - showed they're as in-tune as ever by colour-coordinating their outfits.
In the flick Keira plays Georgiana Spencer, an aristocrat who becomes trapped in a loveless marriage with the Duke of Devonshire - played by Ralph - who is desperate for a son. And while the Pirates Of The Caribbean beauty says Georgiana - a distant relative of Princess Diana - was a "very exciting character to play", there were aspects of filming she wasn't quite so keen on.
"I had to be sewn in each time I put a costume on… That was what happened in those days," reveals the 23-year-old, who spent two hours dressing for her role every day. "While the end results would have been a fabulous look, getting there wasn't easy.
"The clothes, the wigs and the hats were so heavy that it became painful to stand around. At one point I had to wear a wig that was two feet high and the weight pushed my head down into my neck. The camera couldn't even see my eyes!"

WHEN A WOMAN IS FED UP
There's a thin line between love and hate indeed and actress LisaRaye -Misick has the bruises to prove it. E3 reported earlier this week about the violent altercation between LisaRaye and soon to be ex-husband Premier Michael Misick at their mansion in Turks and Caicos Island on last week. LisaRaye had returned to the TCI last Wednesday, reportedly to negotiate a temporary spousal-support agreement until their divorce is finalized but, according to our sources, this process had gone very badly from her standpoint. Now photos of LisaRaye have surfaced showing the bruises that Mr. Misick left behind from that night.

‘Battlestar Galactica’ prequel will feature main characters as children
The Sci Fi Channel has confirmed reports that the network is planning another "Battlestar Galactica" TV movie. It says it will be a sequel focusing on the major characters when they were little kids. "Battlestar Galactica" executive producer Ron Moore says viewers will get to see what Starbuck, Tigh, Captain Adama and others were like when they were children.
"Adama may be seven years old in the prequel, but he's still one tough son of a bitch, who doesn't take crap from anyone," says Moore. "That includes a dramatic scene where his parents try to have him eat his veggies and he tells his plumpher to go frak himself."
No word yet on how the cylons will be depicted in the prequel, but the word "toasters" has been thrown around.

Laurence Fishburne murdered, police searching for forensic evidence
Police forensics experts were scouring Laurence Fishburne's home for possible clues after the actor was found dead Monday.
The apparent murder happened on the same day that news broke Fishburne is in talks to replace "CSI" star William Petersen at the end of the hit crime drama's current season.
"Whoever did this was obviously very steeped in criminal science, because we haven't been able to find a shred of forensic evidence on the scene," said Los Angeles Police Lieutenant Duncan Talon. "I would estimate you need about a decade of working in or around a police forensics unit to commit a murder this cleanly."
Petersen released a statement saying he was "saddened by the loss" of a future colleague.
"For the sake of 'CSI' fans worried that this terrible event will disrupt production, I have decided that I am now willing to return for an eleventh season," he added. "I look forward to discussing the 0,000-per episode raise that I will of course require with CBS executives."
