Britney Spears: Opens up on the rollercoaster of the last few years!
Now on the road to regaining her princess of pop title, Britney Spears feels she can afford to open up on the rollercoaster of the last few years.
"I sit there and I look back and I'm like, 'I'm a smart person. What the hell was I thinking?'," says the Toxic star in an interview which forms part of a 90-minute MTV documentary about her comeback.
The performer - who'll release her sixth album Circus on her 27th birthday, December 2 - goes on to admit: "I've been through a lot in the past two or three years, and there's a lot that people don't know".
On the question of overcoming her demons in the full glare of publicity, Britney muses: "How do you deal? You just cope, and that's what I do. I just cope with it, every day."
The documentary, which includes behind-the-scenes footage of the performer back at work, airs Stateside on November 30.

JANET JACKSON HOSPITALIZED
A representative for Janet Jackson says the singer has been hospitalized after falling ill shortly before a concert.
According to statement released by W&W Public Relations, the singer canceled her concert in Montreal on Monday after she "got suddenly ill" during her sound check and had to be rushed to the hospital just before show time.
The statement says Jackson is being monitored at the hospital and hopes to reschedule the show. No further information was given about Jackson's condition.
I'm sure that after J.D. threw up all over her at his recent birthday bash didn't help any.

Amy Winehouse to visit spa to get clean
Singer may go to Champneys Henlow Grange resort in Hertfordshire
Amy Winehouse has been booked in at a health resort in an attempt to get her well.??
The singer didn’t bother turning up for her 25th birthday party last week – despite her family’s best efforts.??
And her mum Janis thinks some time at Champneys Health Resort in Hertfordshire will do her good.
??‘Janis has been talking to staff about what the centre could provide and is hopeful Amy will benefit from a short stay under her supervision,’ a source tells Daily Star Sunday.
‘She is very well aware that all of Amy’s previous attempts at rehab have failed. But she is confident that a trip to Champneys could provide the missing ingredient.
'They run a number of treatments which are geared towards removing unwanted toxins from the body.'
Amy, 25, has previously spent time in London’s Priory clinic to battle her drug addiction.
Her husband Blake Fielder-Civil, 26, is currently serving a 27-month sentence at Edmunds Hill.

Britney Spears to release album on her birthday
Britney Spears is gearing up for another comeback attempt.
The pop singer's label said on Monday it would release her new album, "Circus," on December 2, her 27th birthday.
The album marks the follow-up to 2007's "Blackout," which was also billed as a comeback after a sustained period of personal and professional woes. It failed to return Spears to the commercial heyday she enjoyed at the turn of the century.
The latest comeback talk got a boost last week when Spears won three prizes at the MTV Video Music Awards in Hollywood and did not commit any missteps in the process.
The first single from the album is called "Womanizer," Jive Records said in a statement. The label said Spears collaborated with a team of writer/producers, including stalwarts such as Swedish hitmaker Max Martin and Floyd "Danja" Hills.
Jive is ultimately owned by Sony Music Entertainment Inc, a unit of Sony Corp.

Jennifer Hudson Engaged to Reality Star Boyfriend

Jennifer Hudson and boyfriend, David Otunga, have gotten engaged, her rep tells PEOPLE exclusively.
"I can confirm that Jennifer got engaged to her boyfriend David on Friday night in L.A." says the rep.
Otunga, who is known as "Punk" from the reality show I Love New York 2, popped the question with a Neil Lane diamond ring on the Dreamgirls Oscar winner's 27th birthday.Hudson, who was voted off of 'American Idol' to the dismay of many, went on to exact her revenge by winning a best supporting actress Oscar for her role in 'Dreamgirls.' Her self-titled debut album is being released on Sept. 30.

For her role as Etta James in the upcoming drama Cadillac Records, Beyonce Knowles had to pack on 20 pounds.Gaining weight "was so much fun," she says in October's British Marie Claire But when she later landed a part in the psychological thriller Obsessed, "I had to lose it," she laments.
"I was so angry with myself. I was like, 'D'oh! Why do you have to go through this?"
