Botox pipline reaches Los Angeles
It's been in the works for seven, years, and now a highly anticipated Botox pipeline has finally reached Los Angeles. The pipeline, which originates in Russia and goes through Alaska was funded by a consortium of celebrities. Botox is made from "botulinum toxin type A", a poison produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum, and the biggest producer is located outside Moscow.
"This is a great day for Hollywood," said Terri Hatcher. "For too long, we have had to deal with critical shortages in the Botox supply. This pipeline guarantees that we will have abundant supplies."
A ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned for tomorrow with Hatcher, Goldie Haw, Michelle Pfeiffer and Vanessa Williams. Cher was supposed to attened but had to cancel due to planned plastic surgery.
