Video: ‘A Father’s Promise’ Presented By MSNBC
My head has really been too far up Grammy's big ass to acknowledge quality TV. Did anyone see this doc? I need to find the full episode somewhere...when I do I'll be sure to post. In related news, I read that there will be a follow up to last year's "Black in America" series entitled 'Black in America: Solutions" on CNN. Check your local listings for details.

“A plumpher’s Promise“, is a thought-provoking documentary which attempts to understand an issue close to President Barack Obama: the subject of absent plumphers in the black community. It includes a cross-section of African-Americans, including NBC’s Al Roker and Tiki Barber, who come together for a round-table discussion of these situations and issues. “A plumpher’s Promise” aired Sunday night on MSNBC. Chris Brown incident shocker as Rihanna’s real name is revealed
The
hip hop world is reeling with the news that rapper Chris Brown has been
charged by the Los Angeles Police Department on a felony charge of
making criminal threats, reportedly against his pop star lady friend,
Rihanna. News traveled fast at last night's Grammy's and music's
hottest stars were understandably shaken.
Lady GaGa fought back tears,
"I'm shocked….Rihanna's real name is Robyn? Tragic."
Sidenote: in police filings, Rihanna's full name was revealed to be Robyn Rihanna Fenty, another unfortunate outcome of this episode.
Many in Hollywood are wondering how the couple went from fairy tale to fodder tale so fast. Rapper Jay Z, the man credited with discovering Rihanna, commented, "I care deeply about Rihanna and am working in her best interest at this delicate time… so it goes without saying I've already secured the rights for her new remix 'Disturbia aka Date Night with Chris Brown.'"
Not all were as compassionate as Jay Z. An unnamed
Pussycat Doll (*unnamed because does anyone really care about their
names? Silly Dolls!) alludes that once Chris Brown mends his fists then
he can find a welcome victim/date in her, "I wouldn't complain if Chris
Brown punched me…in fact he could punch, bite or scratch me. I would like him to please harm me."

Phil Spector to debut ‘bad hair defense’ at trial
As his trial resumes, Phil Spector's attorneys are indicating that they
plan to take an unprecedented step: arguing that Spector was
discriminated against by arresting officers because of his bad hair.
"There is no question how unseemly his hair appeared in the period
surrounding his arrest. It is a matter of public record," said lead
attorney Mike Stemple. "We will show how this affected Mr.
Spector seeking equal treatment under the laws of this state."
Last year's trial on these charges resulted in a hung jury. Spector's hair has been speculated to be based on the lead character from David Lynch's landmark film, "Eraserhead."
Former boxing promoter Don King, who was granted a suspended sentence on tax evasion charges, is expected to testify for the prosecution next week.

TYLER PERRY TO FILM ‘WHY DID I GET MARRIED’ SEQUEL
'Why Did I Get Married?', the big screen adaptation of Perry's stage play about the trials of marriage, is considered to be Tyler Perry's best work to date is one of the many reasons why Perry plans to do a sequel tentatively titled 'Why Did I Get Married too?' The new movie would be a follow-up with hopes for the return of original cast members, which includes Janet Jackson, Jill Scott, Tasha Smith, Sharon Leal, Malik Yoba, Richard T. Jones and Michael Jai White. Perry, who is still in the process of writing the film, revealed why he chose to do a sequel to the film stating that "Because there is so much I want to say. There's not another film that I have written that I felt like there's more to say; and there's more say in 'Why Did I Get Married Too.'" Perry further explained saying "It will be the same cast. Everybody... it's going to be great."

LIL’ KIM JOINS ‘DANCING W/ THE STARS’
Looks like the Queen B should have no problems appearing on national tv wearing skimpy clothes and funny costumes. The New York rapper is the newest contestant on ABC's "Dancing With The Stars" and will be vying for the mirror-ball trophy in Cycle 8. The new series begins on ABC on March 9th.
