Pete Doherty wants to win Kate Moss back

Troubled British rocker Pete Doherty is making desperate attempts to win ex-lady friend British supermodel Kate Moss back.Doherty has been bombarding Moss with phone calls begging her to take him back just seven days after she parted form rock guitarist boyfriend Jamie Hince, reports mirro.co.uk.

“Pete is pretty single-minded about it. He is desperate for her to give him another chance. He’s spent most of the time in his Marlborough cottage trying to figure out a way to persuade Kate to take him back. He believes Kate is ‘the one’ and won’t give up the idea of reuniting,” said a friend of Doherty.

Kate is said to be distraught over her split with Hince and is not thinking of jumping into another relationship right now with anyone including Doherty.

Moss dumped Doherty July last year after a turbulent romance.

Travis Barker and DJ AM are expected to make full recoveries from injuries sustained in a plane crash.

The former Blink 182 drummer and the DJ - real name Adam Goldstein - have been in a critical condition with second and third degree burns after their jet crashed on take off in Columbia, South Carolina, on Friday night (19.09.08), killing the four other passengers on board.

Medics believe the two musicians will eventually recover from their injuries.

Dr. Fred Mullins of the Joseph M. Still Burn Center at Doctors' Hospital in Augusta said: "Since both Barker and Goldstein are in overall good health and didn't suffer from any other crash-related complications, a full recovery is expected.

"Recovery could take up to a year, but I would expect it would be much sooner than that."

The doctor refused to discuss the musicians' emotional states, but added: "Around 45 per cent of all patients have some emotional trouble."

The doctor said Travis suffered burns to his torso and lower body, while DJ AM was burned on his arms and head. Both are in the intensive-care unit of the hospital and are reported as being critical but stable.

Pilot Sarah Lemmon, 31, co-pilot James Bland, 52, Travis' assistant Chris Baker, 29, and his security guard Charles Sill, 25, all lost their lives. No one else was on board the jet.

Emmy Awards Cancelled

Emmys_2 The major television networks and the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences made a joint announcement Monday that they are canceling the Emmy Awards. Last night's 60th annual ceremony will be the last for the veritable Hollywood institution.

The decision came, insiders said, after record low ratings for last night's ceremony came in. The Emmys were not only demolished by Sunday Night Football, but also came in behind a re-run of Sunday morning's "Meet the Press" on MSNBC and an open heart surgery on Discovery Health.

"It's time to accept that a celebration of the best TV has to offer is not appealing to TV viewers," the major networks said in a joint statement. "The ratings for last night's Emmys were even worse than for 'Mad Men' and '30 Rock' and all the other critically acclaimed, hugely unpopular shows that won the big awards."

Though it has been officially canceled, some in Hollywood are working on ways to keep the Emmys alive. In addition to lobbying efforts to get HBO or Showtime to pick up the Awards, Fox is proposing a new version of the show where celebrities would win Emmys by competing in a series of events drawn from game shows "The Wall," "Moment of Truth," and "Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?"
