Matt Damon Taking Summer Off To Lose Weight And Launch Charity
Matt Damon is taking the summer off to lose some fat and launch a new children’s charity.
Damon piled on 30 pounds to play the “chunky” lead in Steven Soderbergh’s The Informant and now he’s working out to shed the weight before shooting the war drama Green Zone in September.
But it’s his new charity the One X One Foundation that is taking up much of his time.
He tells USA Today newspaper on getting help:
”I have to make calls. Sheryl Crow is going to play at one of our events. It’s the easiest call in the world to make. I just tell what the charity is about, and everyone wants to do everything they can.”
And on the charity:
“It’s about helping kids. It’s not like before I was a plumpher I was like, ‘The hell with those kids.’ But something does shift when you have a child of your own. It’s hard not to look at every child as somehow connected to you.”
On losing the extra weight:
“If you put it on, it’s easier to get it back off. I’m just boxing. I figure if you get hit enough times, it will fall off!”
He also just revealed he and wife Luciana Barroso are expecting a bouncing baby GIRL “soon”.
They announced their bouncing baby news in March, but refused to reveal the due date of their second child. And they have decided to hold off on choosing a name for their new daughter, who will be the younger sister to Isabella, 1, and Alexia, 9 - Barroso’s child from a previous relationship.
Damon says:
”We decided to wait till she’s born, and then we’re going to get a look at her, and we’ll probably keep debating it.” The Bourne Identity star also jokes about his female-dominated household: “I’m so outnumbered down here, its crazy.”

Simon Cowell And Terri Seymour Split
Simon Cowell, 48, has reportedly split from his lady friend of 6 years Terri Seymour, 34. Simon is believed to have walked out on Terri following repeated trouble over her insecurities.
A friend of Simon’s told Britain’s Star magazine:
”He told me he is tired of Terri’s insecurities. They lead separate lives, and that’s how he likes it, but lately she has turned up unannounced at events he is at.
“Just recently, she was meant to be working on a red carpet as part of her presenting job for US TV show ‘Extra’. But instead she turned up at a party Simon was at with Ryan Seacrest. Simon wasn’t happy and felt like she was checking up on him.”
After the argument, ‘X Factor’ judge Simon is reported to have jetted off to his St Tropez villa with friends, including his ex-lady friend Sinitta and Hollywood star hypnotist Paul McKenna, leaving Terri behind.
In April, it was claimed Simon and Terri’s relationship was at breaking point due to Simon’s reluctance to settle down and start a family.
A source said at the time:
“Terri is worn down by Simon’s attitude. She feels upset and humiliated every time Simon speaks about his unwillingness to get married or have kids.”

Elizabeth Hurley Down On The Farm
Liz Hurley, 43, is set to star in her very own reality TV show about her farm life.
The style designer/actress lives on a farm in Cirencester, Gloucestershire so the show will follow her as she goes about her everyday life looking after chickens and sheep.
In the series, viewers will see Liz, who is famous for her flawless image, swap her designer clothes for a less glamorous wardrobe of torn jumpers and waterproof footwear. She said:

Amy Winehouse declared dead
Amy Winehouse was declared dead yesterday just minutes before being released from a London hospital.
Doctors said it was the second time in as many days that the singer was declared legally dead and then recovered. She was admitted early Monday for what was described as "an adverse reaction to medication." It was later revealed that the medication was cocaine, which Winehouse self-prescribed for her addiction to cocaine.
"When Ms. Winehouse was admitted on Monday, her blood was made up 100% of cocaine, with no white or red cells, which we believed warranted declaring her dead," said Dr. Alistair Murphy. "She then recovered, but before we could figure out the reasons, she collapsed and was declared dead as we discovered her digestive system was entirely filled with cocaine also. There is no medical explanation for how she is again alive. Our best guess is that her body has mutated to use pure cocaine to carry oxygen in the blood and as a digestive agent."

Celebrities unharmed by earthquake
A 5.8 magnitude earthquake shook the Los Angeles area late Tuesday morning, leaving millions of Americans worried about whether any of their favorite celebrities suffered minor injuries or if their personal property or children were harmed.
"Are Reese and Jake OK? This earthquake couldn't have come at a worse time with them just starting their relationship!" frantic Oklahoma housewife Jeanne Fodlinger wrote on a message board. "What about Brangelina and all their kids? And that nice new vase I heard she bought in France? Why hasn't TMZ told us?!?!?!?!"
However, the U.S. Geological Survey's Hollywood star Bureau confirmed to Dateline Hollywood that it did not track any seismic activity higher than 3.0 at the homes of any prominent celebs, making the chances of injury or damage extremely low.
"We are quite certain that no famous people ranked more important than Wil Wheaton were impacted by this quake," said the USGS's Dan Golisano. "We also think several dozen non-celebrities were severely injured, though we haven't had time to look into that yet.

Denise Richards accuses Charlie Sheen of being Nazi war criminal
In the latest accusation from Denise Richards in her court battle with ex-husband Charlie Sheen, the actress has accused the "Two and a Half Men" co-star of being a Nazi war criminal. The former James Bond girl made the claim in court today and says Sheen tried to move their two young daughters into a concerntration camp.
"I want to set the record straight about my former husband. He was a Nazi during World War Eye-Eye. That's the kind of husband and plumpher my daughters had to deal with. A Nazi who terrorized people along with the other Mexicans."
Sheen, who is 43 years old, denies the Nazi war criminal accusation and states that he was not born until 1965, 20 years after World War II ended.
